Job Summary
A Senior Material Planner is responsible for ensuring the site maintenance operation is well supported by the planning and kitting of MRO spares.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with site engineers, schedulers, and stakeholders to ensure forward planning of MRO spares is well executed
- Proficient in MS Excel and handling basic data analysis to conduct proper forecasting
- Work closely with the procurement and buyer teams to ensure the correct parts are sourced and procured on time
- Work closely with the Store team to ensure the correct MRO spares are planned and made available for the advanced kitting process
- To learn and be conversant with Site SOP and processes to ensure all MRO activities are carried out in a proper compliance manner.
- Work closely with the procurement and buying team to identify and ensure the correct MRO spares are procured.
- Be responsible for master data management and setup of item masters. Master data management on customer CMMS (Centralized Maintenance Management system)
- Is well versed in SAP being able to navigate SAP functions, reporting, etc.
- Prepare monthly fulfillment reports, progress tracking, and KPI reporting.
- Initiate and execute change requests, where necessary.
Job Holder’s Specifications (Must-Have)
- Possess at least a diploma in engineering or supply chain management, but good relevant job experience will be considered
- Minimum of two years of planning experience in a demanding customer-facing industrial environment
- Knowledge of industrial consumables / MRO market and products and their applications
- Proficient user of Windows-based programs. Experience with fully integrated systems based on sales order processing and stock management systems
- Experience in use of Enterprise systems, e.g. SAP
- Strong communicator and organized.
